Where are all the people who show up in threads about being a younger vs older parent to say they had their kids young and still managed to pursue all sorts of degrees and have an amazing career and now they are in their 40s and rich and can party like rock stars 20-something style?? Find one of those threads OP and be those people.
I don't party, but I feel like I'm one of "those people". I have one kid left in HS. I work full time and took a higher position now that my kids do need as much attention. I go to the gym six days a week, joined a book club, garden and go for walks with my husband each evening. We like to go to wineries or breweries and concerts. Once my youngest is an adult we plan on traveling more. Once they are out of college finances will be even better and we can decide if we should move, buy a second home, or just enjoy life. Lots of things to do.
