She is. But she’s also a housing expert, having worked as a special agent for the FHA. She actually has real expertise in the subject. From her website:

That's great, we need affordable housing - but a big part of DC's homeless problem isn't a housing problem, it's a drug and mental health problem and they need treatment and rehabilitation before they can even be put in housing on their own.[/quote]
