Both schools are similarly situated in terms of demographics. Wakefield so far just has less kids. The situation is going to get worse at Wakefield next year bc of the easy availability of transfers to W-L and no need to go into the IB program to transfer. This will divert students who are coming into 9th and I think there will be some upperclassmen transfers as well.[/quote]

wow, why so presumptuous?  There are many non white kids who will take advantage of this. Maybe they are the "nice" kids if by nice you mean the ones who follow rules and put a lot of effort into academics.  Removing the restriction that transfers must go into the full IB program is similar to removing the test for admission to TJ. It knocks down a barrier for students who didn't want to or felt they could complete that program.  [/quote]
