UMD was not even on the table as DC only looked at SLACs. DC didn't like St Mary's at the time - too isolated, and a sense that a lot of students went home on weekends (DC visited on a Friday and many were leaving for the weekend). It's a great deal for an instate SLAC equivalent though. Sure there are probably better schools. My DC didn't get into those. I am not sure why people on this board don't understand this point. Frankly those schools probably wouldn't have been a good fit for DC. Dickinson was.[/quote]
