They’re saying the highest chance of something happening is around lunchtime.  Early dismissal is the opposite of what they should do.  The last thing they need is to be in the middle of a dismissal when bad weather rolls through.   The kids are probably safest in the school building.  [/quote]

This. It would be stupid to have an early dismissal for tornadoes. They’re supposed to be over by two. Keep the kids in school and they can always go in the hallways if the tornado comes their way. There is nothing safer about being home.[/quote]

Most homes are probably less safe, honestly.

I wish OP would explain what they want done. There's a watch, MCPS will monitor and if there's a tornado they'll get the kids to safe places until it passes. What else is there to do?[/quote]
