PBES P? That makes no sense at all. Did the email originate from there?
The email was sent from TPMS to PBES and who knows who else, but not parents. About ten or 15 mins later another longer more detailed but substantially similar message was sent to parents, along with a robocall. It wasn’t a big deal at the end of the day but some parents had been freaking out with not knowing what was going on and it was surprising to hear first from PBES.
So, this story is still confusing. The TPMS principal sent a message to the PBES principal, presumably because the schools are a quarter of a mile apart so a random dude near one was by definition near the other. But how did PBES parents find out? Did the Piney Branch principal send a blast out?
The TPMS principal sent a message to some MCPS audiences of which the PBES principal was one. The PBES principal immediately blasted it out to all PBES parents. 15 min later the TPMS principal sent a more detailed but mostly similar message to parents. PBES was never involved or at risk or part of this incident which was a false alarm. Anyway it’s no big deal, just an odd way to unfold.
