OP here. I’m feeling a little disappointed. I started pumping last night and all day today ( 10, 12, 4am, 7am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm) and only got about 1oz with most pumps and almost 2oz twice. 8 pumps and about 10 ounces. My baby eats 3-4oz 7-8 times a day. No way will I will be able to keep up with it. I did try breastfeeding again after pumping and each time it did not go well. The reason is quit was because of latch issues that weren’t able to be corrected and I just didn’t like it. I had to supplement after most feeds and just felt like switching to formula and bottle feeding was easier.
It’s only been a day. Give it more time. Start stocking up on formula. You can bottle feed what you get from pumping if you’re exclusively pumping and then supplement.
+1. I actually think that’s pretty encouraging for your first day back. When I had supply issues, right before I gave up and went fully to formula, I would pump 2-3 times during the work day and only get 1.5 ounces total. And I’m pretty sure I was done producing well before two weeks after I stopped. Keep it up mama!
