The ants love them. May or may not do anything for the flowering, but I don't think they hurt them. Leave peonies alone - no digging out to overwinter. I dug all mine up and replanted a few years back because the bed needed thinning, and they were still happy the next year. I think it's hard to mess them up. [/quote]
