But other airlines have reciprocity with their competitors.  Spirit is not one of them.  Your two options are stay put until they book you to get out or pay a lot of money to get a last -minute one-way ticket to your destination.[/quote]
Which airline has this reciprocity you speak of? We’ve had horrible experiences with united and American and they certainly didn’t offer to book on competitors flights. [/quote]

My son was just moved from Alaska Airlines to Jet Blue after missing a connection.  It was a day later and he got a hotel room and a UberEATS card for food.[/quote]
