Basically the glass panes have a vinyl frame, which then have a wood frame around them. I don't know much about vinyl, but imagine that screw holes damage the structural integrity, and that the holes would not be easily concealed. The vinyl is manufactured white, it isn't painted.[/quote]

I can’t see how the holes would cause a structural problem. They’ll probably be hidden by the shades anyway, but you could also just fill them with a little putty filler and then get paint matched to the color or just use white and call it good enough.

Why would you do all that when somebody destroyed your windows and you paid them a lot of money.  Go after the blinds company.  They make you pay in full before they even start.  They should be held accountable for their work.[/quote]
