Idk because I don’t know if we have that kind of window. I can’t picture how they could attach them to the actual window. If it’s just the trim of the window, can’t they just patch the hole and touch up the paint?
Basically the glass panes have a vinyl frame, which then have a wood frame around them. I don't know much about vinyl, but imagine that screw holes damage the structural integrity, and that the holes would not be easily concealed. The vinyl is manufactured white, it isn't painted.
I can’t see how the holes would cause a structural problem. They’ll probably be hidden by the shades anyway, but you could also just fill them with a little putty filler and then get paint matched to the color or just use white and call it good enough. I understand if you are mad about the damage and want the store to pay up, that’s one thing, but it doesn’t sound like a big problem in terms of actual consequences.
Why would you do all that when somebody destroyed your windows and you paid them a lot of money. Go after the blinds company. They make you pay in full before they even start. They should be held accountable for their work.
