I make my own, use it for the whole family, if your interested I will post the recipe
OP here, i would like the recipe.
The one I make has borax in it, maybe you can substitute something else? My 8 month old has sensitive skin and eczema and would break out with the unscented commercial detergents but she has no problem with this one. 1 bar fells naphtha soap grated into a sauce pan of water, heat in low until it melts 1 cup washing soda 1/2 cup borax Fill a 5 gallon container 1/2 way w/ warm water add washing soda and borax stir to resolve. Add soap mixture and fill the container the rest of the way w/ water. Let sit overnight, will be gel like. Wisk and pour into bottles I use old oj and laundry detergent bottles. Fill about 3/4 the way with detergent, add some water to fill almost to the top, leave room you need to shake it before you pour it out. It sounds complicated but really only takes about 30 minutes to make and fill the bottles. It makes about 6-8 gallons.
What is fells naphtha soap? Also, does this homemade soap rinse clean? I am having issues with soap build up and residue! What if I just left the Borax out?
