I had lupron stop years ago in 2015 and it was also bust. 10 eggs and only 1 morula which was BFN. I did a different protocol the next round and that was even worse- 10 eggs again and all arrested by day 3. They told me it was my eggs and I needed DE but I was only 30 so didn't jump to that right away. I ended up going on to have successful pregnancies naturally 2 months later and again 3 years later so who knows. I do have DOR and later discovered a blood clotting condition FWIW. Both times I got pregnant were months I was really doing intense amounts of exercise. There is research out there that follicles with better oxygenation produce more competent eggs so my personal theory is that the clotting condition was affecting my ovaries enough to make dud eggs (due to maybe microclots affecting blood flow and oxygenation?) Then the exercise I did brought better blood flow and oxygen to those follicles that allowed the eggs to develop more normally those months.
I'm so glad it worked out for you. It's interesting that you mention the clotting. I just got referred to hematology. Can I ask which clotting disorder it is? Also was your DOR based on your AFC or AMH?
Thank you, I got incredibly lucky. I have factor v Leiden.. it registered on 23 and me of all places. Supposedly it doesn't affect egg quality or fertility from my research so my theory could be very wrong, who knows. My day 3 labs including AFC were always normal but my AMH was low for my age (1.0 at 29 and 0.36 at 33) and my Dr said I didn't respond well considering my age and the amount of stims they had me on.
