I did not attend, I could have cared less and my mom was a single mom, I didn’t want her to think she needed to take time off to travel to my college just for a walk across the stage. My husband was also a first gen student and child of immigrants. He went to his graduation but his parents did not attend, they were working. But yes, let me wipe away the tears of these poor NYU grads that don’t get Taylor Swift to give them a speech. :cry: [/quote]
