No, it's a sellers market because supply is severely constrained. Again, this is a valid strategy for when supply is [i]not[/i] constrained. While inventory is still this low, even if you play coy with them, they know full well that tomorrow or Friday someone more desperate/less discerning than you will walk through the doors. They'll happily sit on the car for another few days to earn an extra $1,000. The calculus will change once inventory catches up again, but that hasn't happened yet.[/quote]

I don’t know. I just bought a new car, and yes inventory was very slim but they are VERY eager to sell it to me. I got below MSRP out the door. But, you have to be willing to walk away. They will call back. If you’re a serious buyer you can still get a fine deal in this market. [/quote]
