We have used DAS for years. For what it is worth to others, we just went in late March, which is pretty busy due to spring break. I did not bother with 40 days out. It literally took five minutes to get at guest services in Hollywood studios on our first day. Over the many years I’ve waited at guest services, I don’t recall ever waiting more than 15-20 minutes. So, you may prefer this to waiting online for hours. We purchased genie plus and had DAS. That made it easy to do every single ride we wanted to do. Use DAS return times for the long waits and then grab genie plus times that you can get as fast as possible. Works great. So, head to Hollywood studios. Book Rise of the Resistance with DAS. Assume you have to wait 1-2 hours. During that wait, pull up Genie Plus. You can likely lighting lane Star Tours within 10 minutes. As soon as you tap into Star Tours, go into Genie Plus and grab the next thing you want (or look at show times for things like the frozen song along and walk up 5 minutes before the show starts to walk right in typically). Do several rides and shows and then head over for your DAS time at ROTR. And so on and so forth. I do have complaints about genie plus versus the old fast pass system — But it still all worked well.
