But moderation like an hour does help establish skills. In the past, homework was mandatory and a percentage of your grade. Now with all this lowering of standards in regards to it being optional, or you don’t have to turn it in at the deadline, etc. because districts don’t want to further ding the kids who don’t care or take it seriously, homework has gone by the wayside. It’s too bad because these kids will find out fast enough in college or real life that there are few second chances.[/quote]
