No snark but unless you’ve rented a car before and explored the island, what basis do you have to compare. The magic of the island is exploring the gems around the island. Parking is free and you can drive to and from the airport. It was only like $50-70 more to rent the car than taxi to and from so it was def worth it to us. We also went to the more affordable restaurants and grocery stores than on Grace Bay so probably came up even. Taylor Bay is the best part of the island to me.[/quote]

Not everyone enjoys the responsibility of driving a rental car, finding parking, or navigating unknown roads.  I much prefer to hire a driver because I find driving when I don’t know the area stressful.  We still explored multiple beaches and local restaurants.  By definition if multiple posters were able to enjoy T&C without a car, you don’t need one as the OP asked.  But know yourself - if you love wandering, by all means rent a car.[/quote]
