he went to an assembly in Taylor Hall in which he and his class learned about wounded wild  animal rehabilitation by an expect who brought two owls and a hawk with her. The kids also learned how each animal had been injured( in a fight with another hawk or hit by a car) , and what was done to help restore the animal to health.

Next he went to science where the biology lesson of what is the composition of human blood: ratio of RBC's , to plasma to plateletts was taught by having the kids add red hots and mini marsh mellows to their own petri dishes, which , of course, my son wanted to dare me to drink after school, but I digress.

Some where else in their there he worked on the preparations for the upcoming museum night ( his class studied  the archeology, native peoples, food , topography, language and politics of Mexico for three months) , had some journal writing time, and math . Oh, and of course two recess on that beautiful play ground of rolling hills, zip lines, and slide tunnels.
