As the title says we have plenty of cats that have free reign of the neighborhood. Some have collars but the vast majority don’t, so I think they might be fending for themselves. We never see kittens though, just the adult cats. At least some of the male cats are intact. Am I just not good at spotting young cats or do they keep the kittens hidden until they’re big enough? I never though about this until my kid asked!
To answer your question kittens are often hidden until they are bigger. They will also keep on the down low until bigger to fend for themselves as they can be attacked by other cats or raptors or crows. As to the person that asked about intact males. And whether she was lifting the cats, intact males have very large noticeable balls vs cats that have been neutered. Cats that have been neutered they balls shrink sometimes to just small pea size sometimes to nothing. Intact cats you can see their hey I'm a healthy male balls from a distance.
