"work through" choices and issues? Are you kidding me? These kids are now in therapy because of mask decisions?
well, some of these kids literally believe they will kill people if they don't wear a mask. So that's the burden we've put on kids, and yeah, it's going to take a lot for some of them to work through that. Empathy is your friend.
No one believes that. You are not as educated as you think. I don't doubt that. Just as I don't doubt that some kids literally believe that Jesus walked among the dinosaurs. Clearly, it's nutso parents in either case.

I see you've not spent much time in the South. Ok, how about this: Some kids literally believe the Earth if 4,000 years old. Just like some believe not wearing a mask outside will kill others. Like I said, nutso parents either way.
I've had to coax my 7-year-old out of a mask at home because she was afraid of giving me the virus (which she didn't have). I'm certainly not the one suggesting to her that she's full of virus and giving it to everyone. Conceivably she's getting this from other kids at school, and I presume they are getting that message from parents. I don't think this is a healthy attitude for kids to have, as at least with my DD it seems to be leading to some anxiety issues.
