How much HW is there at Gonzaga? Do most kids take the metro to get there? The neighborhood gives me pause
But diversity.
The neighborhood is one of the unique qualities of the school because it enables them to serve the local community in ways that are not possible in suburban schools. My son participated in many service programs like serving lunch to homeless (right in the basement of the church) and preparing and delivering food to local residents. They are reminded of the struggles of inner city folks on a daily basis. My son used to walk by the same homeless guy from the metro and he actually got to know him a bit because he stopped and talked to him a few times. Boys from Prep and other schools won't have this experience.
