MCPS need not be involved until the police and ambulance show up, because they WILL try to interview the accused, the victim, handle evidence, in a completely unprofessional manner, with the consequences that evidence is contaminated or lost, and everyone involved is confused and care/police investigation are delayed.

Parents, please stay involved at the high school level with your PTA - the PTA, as an organized group, does have more power than individual parents, and can place pressure on the administration to implement more safety checks in bathrooms and locker rooms (a previous sodomy/rape at another MCPS high school was in a locker room), close off bathrooms or have students wait outside for their turn, etc...

It's sickening we need to talk about this, but this is where we're at.
