VEG PP here. I'm sorry I can't be too helpful with the parking- we are only a few blocks away and our dog didn't have an issue with walking at all, so that's what we did. It was around 11pm on a freezing Friday and the area was dead; I don't think street parking would have been a problem at all, but that is obviously impacted by time. Google shows there are a ton of garages around there, but some of them close at 9pm, so I'd imagine it depends on the time of day. Living in the neighborhood around there, I would say the parking is not generally terrible. Up closer to where we are in Dupont, yes, but right around VEG isn't hopping.

Not sure where you are or what makes most sense, but I've had to take my puppy to Friendship once which is a schlep and parking is iffy. We got an Uber Pet within +/- 4 minutes and it worked out great. Obviously not if your dog is bleeding out or vomiting, etc. but for the general kind of malaise PP mentioned, it could be worth it not to have to circle the block or worry about garages closing. I also think about emergency planning and Uber Pet plays into my plan.[/quote]
