You have to have the paid version of Peacock, which was not true during the Summer Olympics so annoying I really like to watch the ENTIRE figure skating competition and not just the americans and/or top performers During the 1994 games (yes, YEARS ago), they actually showed quite a few more of the performers for some reason. They showed this one girl who could spin faster than anyone else from the Netherlands or something? It sticks with me because you very rarely see the OTHER competitors if they aren't in the medal hunt. I was getting the Olympic Channel or something during Sochi and was able to watch all the ice skating in real time and I just loved the people who probably weren't going to get a medal, but were so damn happy just to be there. I also think that was where Johnny and Tara started and I never thought I would love them as commentators, but dammit if they aren't amazing at this. They actually explain things really well (particularly Johnny) I basically only watch the Olympics for the gymnastics in summer and ice skating in winter - I have always been this way. I am not going to NOT watch just because of the country hosting.
NBC showed all the Team Event skaters. There were only 10 entries per discipline, and they cut to other events while the ice was being zamboni’d and during warmups. USA network will be carrying the full event like NBC sports network used to, but keep in mind, due to the time zones, the event is happening live between 9PM and 1AM, so they’ll flip flop between NBC and USA for headliners (like with Pyeongchang.) I loved the Sochi mid-day coverage too. Especially since it happened during some weather event, and I was working from home. It was great watching the whole event uninterrupted, and then catching the highlights again in prime time.
