Kids her age want jewelry from brands like Mejuri and Stone & Strand, not old lady brands like Tiffany/Cartier.
Mejuri is cheap crap. She'll appreciate something that's not only fashionable and appropriate for date nights and the workplace but also quality she'll be happy to have in her collection 10 years from now. OP - I love your choice, I say go for it.
You may not like it, but it's what they want. If you get her these earrings, they'll sit for those 10 years. I'd rather get something that I know my nieces will wear now, not something they'll forget about. In fact, my two nieces who are 22 and 25 requested Mejuri gift cards for Christmas this year. They like gold necklaces, small hoops and studs, thin gold bracelets, nothing that is going to stand out. If you insist on getting something from Tiffany get something cool like the Hardwear earrings or teeny tiny studs or hoops.
NP. Is Mejuri even real gold/silver? Or just that plated crap?
DP. It's real gold and silver.
