Umm. The board pleads for the National Guard to drive in kids, whines how they don't have enough teachers / subs, has a no-confidence MCEA vote against them, a 21K virtual parent petition, and is still clueless why it should meet?

That assumes it's a done deal that McKnight will be the permanent Superintendent of Schools, which I believe is another point of meeting - to reconsider that decision.

Meeting and taking action are different, but I can see how the board could be confused by that.
