Another NP who loves Ethiopian food. OP, if you haven't had it before, it tends to take awhile to come to the table (so don't go with children who are ravenous to start with and expect food immediately). Also, it is served on a thin pancake-like bread and eaten with the hands, using torn-off pieces of pancake/bread. So you might want to take hand sanitizer? I know COVID isn't spread that way, but other things are. Hope you enjoy it!
These restaurants have bathrooms with sinks. I would not suggest using hand sanitizer and then using the injera (what you refer to as spongy bread) to eat with your hands. Go to the bathroom and wash and dry your hands if you want to taste food and not sanitizer.
Okay. First, we're talking kids at the meal, but sure. Wash hands. And have them go back and forth to the bathroom if they need to. Why would you think OP would know the word "injeera," or do you think it's inappropriate to describe items that haven't yet been defined to someone? You forgot to comment on the timing I mentioned, too -- care to weigh in on that?
