Why with a week left to go, does he suddenly decide NOW is the time to fill all the vacancies? And being that Youngkin will be sworn in in a week, are these appointments subject to serving at the pleasure of the Governor, and therefore might be dismissed and replaced in a week? Do these appointments garner some kind of state pension status for serving for so little time? [/quote

Maybe this explains the debacle on I-95 last Monday where people were stuck in snow for a whole day because VDOT couldn’t find its own a$$ with a map and a flashlight.

Northam was too caught up in deciding whom to appoint to the Potato Board and the Peanut Council instead of dealing with a snowstorm.
