Losing my sanity isolating with my husband and newborn to avoid omicron. Anyone just said forget it and started going about your life like normal with the newborn (stores, restaurants, friends, family)? We are vaxxed but obviously baby is not. Scared to throw caution to the wind (having even a mild case of covid sounds miserable while caring for a newborn not to mention unknown risks to baby), but this is nothing like what I thought new motherhood would be like. Even the mom groups are all virtual!
You thought new motherhood would be different in a pandemic with a baby born in the winter? Not to mention two recent snowstorms?
What an ugly thing to do, crapping on a new mom so you can get your superiority fix in. Go isolate under your troll bridge. OP, you need some real social connection and don’t feel bad about it. We just saw our family with the baby and it was wonderful. We took several tests throughout the week.
Not PP but come on! Getting pregnant during the only pandemic of our lifetimes with over 800,000 Americans dying and people wearing masks everywhere is kinda a tip off that this isn’t going to he a typical post pregnancy.
