Resort to extremes to cope with the problems of life = polishing off a fifth of vodka at home alone, or having a few too many bellied up to the bar at your local watering hole.

Splitting a bottle of wive with your husband, and having such a good time (and isn't it nice to be able to have some tiome alone!) you decide to grab an after dinner drink, and oops, you chose one that's all hard alcohol, not the wine or champagne you usually drink, and so you're a little loopy on a Tuesday night = a regrettable lack of foresight (but only because of the headache on Wednesday, not regrettable in the larger scheme of things) but completely understandable feeling.  In my opinion, the juice is worth the squeeze.  And as long as I'm quoting movies, Lighten up, Francis.  [/quote]
