Yup, we have a 5yo.

Honestly the biggest reason is H pulls his weight around the house. Cooking/cleanup/childcare in the evening are pretty evenly divided, we don’t keep a schedule but we both pitch in fully. After dinner, I’ll shower and get ready for bed myself while he gets DC ready for bed. DC is in bed around 830. Whoever has the time does the kitchen cleanup. H and I talk/catch up for 30 minutes or so (so until 9ish), then sex, then I go to bed. H is a night owl so he’ll stay up another 1-2 hours getting ready for bed and doing anything that didn’t get done - kitchen, prep for the next day, etc.

DC likes to sleep in until 830/9 on weekends. I’m a morning person so I’ll wake up H for sex around 6/630, then he goes back to sleep and I get up and start getting everything ready for the day. I’ll take care of DC until H is up and moving, sometimes he’s up at 9, sometimes 10-11. I don’t mind him sleeping in because usually he got everything ready and cleaned up the night before.

1-2x a month we’ll both work from home or DC will have a ply date, so we get a couple hours kid-free and take full advantage, ha.

We wouldn’t be able to have sex that much if H didn’t contribute equally, although now with me being pregnant, he’s probably doing 75% because he wants me as stress-free as possible. And I’m in a VERY good mood when I get to take a long bath after dinner and come out to a clean kitchen, sleeping kid, and hour-long massage. I should ask H to go over to the Relationship forum and teach those sexless men how it’s done, ha. [/quote]
