My husband walked into LRF to buy a pie and they refused to sell one to him because he hadn’t ordered on-line and selected a time to pick it up.  I understand it was his error, but why not just sell him the pie since he was already there and explain the procedure for next time?  The staff there lacks basic customer service skills. I’ve also had terrible experiences with the staff both pre pandemic and during. Such a shame, the food is good and I love going next door to Politics and Prose. But I don’t like being made to feel like I should be honored to breathe the same air as the staff. [/quote]

+1.  My parents drive down from Manhattan for visits frequently (pre and post-pandemic) and love going to Politics and Prose and they've stopped in LRF twice and have had nearly "dinner party" stories about how rude and unhelpful they are. The food is decent enough but nothing to write home about and the attitude is intolerable. [/quote]
