I have the artisan bc I don’t need more than that, but there are certain cooking appliances or tools where I use a very specific product for a reason. Your wife may need the bigger size if she bakes a lot, or if there are additional features on the 6 quart that she needs. I think it would be a pain to return one of those heavy mixers after Christmas. That’s like adding a chore to her gift. Sorry to be the bearer of bad Christmas news….![/quote]
