It’s not like these things are immutable.[/quote] This. The religion is not guided by the few men with titles it is guided by the whole congregation. At one time divorced people were denied communion, but no more. Once biracial marriage was not allowed, but no more. Before abortions was not a sin, and again it will be seen as a medical procedure. Once birth control was fine but men changed the rules “because it is too hard for men to control themselves” (Vatican 2). Religions are political instead of guided by the Holy Spirit and it’s up to us to help it back to the right path.[/quote]
