What about a weighted-stuffy? These provide emotional support and are super-popular with the 12-14 age group.
Mine has one of the weighted stuffies that you can heat in the microwave and really likes it for when she gets stomach aches or cramps.
Can someone provide a link? Thanks
Here you go... they're called Warmies and they are AMAZING Here's my review as someone who's immediate family owns 3 of them, and I've purchased 4 more for family members with sleep & anxiety challenges. These are so darn cute and each warmie is scented in a lovely French Lavender scent - what's really great about that is; it's just a slight hint of lavender, and it's really very faint (I cannot STAND the smell of heavy perfumes or artificial scents, and I love this). And although the scent is BARELY noticeable to your olfactory receptors (sense of smell) your brain receptors are working overtime with calming stimulation & exploding like fireworks, however with soothing sensatory receptivity. In a nutshell, the smell isn't overpowering... it's super faint, however your brains sensors are under the impression that you're sitting in the middle of a lavender field in the South of France. Those receptors then begins to stimulate relaxation, initiate mental repose, diminishing anxiety & tensions, and makes you drowsy. The inside filling is like a weighted bean bag filling, so it gives you tons of ASMR when it's warm and you're rolling it between your fingers, which it's relaxing. Add that with putting them in the microwave before bed, and you have a guaranteed trifecta of sleep! Trust me when I tell you, you'll love these. My entire family suffers from anxiety & sleep issues, and these warmies have helped us out tremendously! There are like a hundred of them to choose from, and they're all so cute so it's tough to decide. My daughter has the kitten. My son has the shark. My niece has the polar bear. My other niece has the husky. My nephew has the hippo I bought the little lamb for my baby sister (she's 38, lol). And the gerbil is mine. 😁 Trust me when I tell you, you'll never ever regret buying this for your kid if they have sleep or anxiety challenges (and they're great for kids even if they don't have challenges!). Give this to your kid right out of the microwave before bed time, and guaranteed they'll be out like a light in minutes. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Intelex&ref=bl_dp_s_mw_7727173011
