I am the software Manager and I don't make that but I am non-profit, however, I have interviewed a lot of candidates from different industries, and some of them even come from Amazon. Your range will be 160k-180K and I am being generous. My sr software engineers make $140k. add 20K in you go to private

Again I was being super generous. I am non profit and people love working here so almost no turnover. I interviewed some candidates for sr software engineering position recently and their asking was $130k and some were coming from private sector.  $160-180k are for the highest payer in the area: google, Amazon, cap one etc. Realistically $140k is great pay depending on benefits.[/quote]
