Has anyone heard any feedback from students about the dorms at Lehigh? I have heard (secondhand) that they are not that great.
Lehigh students are required to live on campus for two years. The freshman dorms are standard dorms…doubles with hall bathrooms. For upperclassmen, they offer apartment and suite style living and just completed brand new suite style sophomore dorms last spring. Sophomores who are in a sorority or fraternity live in their respective greek houses on campus, as do some juniors. Juniors and seniors who want on campus housing have no issue getting it, even though it’s not guaranteed. There is plenty. For off campus housing, everything is within a very short walking distance and there are two student-only apartment buildings that are only a few years old and many students choose to live in row houses with friends. The only dorms that some people complain about are the original dorms, Dravo, Drinker, and Richards, but most of the complaining is done by parents and students are excited to be in the gorgeous hogwarts type dorms with larger rooms and a view of the entire Lehigh Valley. Taylor is another original dorm, but it has been renovated with air conditioning and mostly houses the engineering learning community each year.
