Struggling a bit with everyone's dietary needs at the holidays this year. At our "friends-giving" table we will have: - someone deathly allergic to nuts - someone allergic to eggs - someone allergic to wheat (but will eat substitutes) I don't like pumpkin pie, and DH doesn't like fruit pies of any kind. My fallback is to just serve ice cream -- but a pie would be festive. Any ideas for a unicorn pie that will please everyone?
What am I missing here. If your alternative is ice cream then why don't you do an ice cream pie? Coffee ice cream pie comes immediately to mind. Or a Sherbet Pie? Or Peppermint Ice Cream Pie? All can be made without nuts, without eggs, without wheat, without pumpkin and none are fruit pies.
