Each of their projects normally has its own LLC so if they have five projects, they make five contributions plus personal contributions. With public financing, corporations can't contribute. So developers can only make personal contributions. Of course, they will make one for themselves, their spouse, any kids that are over 21, etc. But, it will still almost certainly be less than $1,000 which is far less than the $2,500 they used to give for each LLC.
