For the record, this DC resident is doing all of my grocery and everyday shopping in VA or MoCo as a personal protest against the ongoing ridiculous mask mandate in DC. Just returned from a Safeway in Arlington and it was so nice to see at least 50% of people shopping there unmasked
That's a great story. Except I was just at Safeway in Arlington too, and I didn't see one person (except a baby) unmasked. People in Arlington are still masking - don't understand why you tried to lie about this.
Well perhaps we were at different Safeways. Perhaps you missed me- I was the one actually smiling
Maybe that's your problem - you need a bigger mask that isn't so tight on your face. Because the rest of us can smile just fine while wearing masks.
Actually you can’t but keep telling yourself that. Your disposition has soured over the last 18 months. Do you even recognize yourself any more?
This is actually one of the happiest times of my life. My 10-year anniversary of being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer is in 3 days, and I'm alive and healthy, and I got to see my kids grow into adulthood. Every day is a blessing, and I never forget that. I just don't understand why wearing a mask to buy groceries upsets folks like you. It's really no big deal.
I’m vaccinated with a booster. Once we were cleared to dine indoors and once our leaders dropped the masks and used eating as an excuse, it was obvious that masks are a meaningless gesture for optics only and I don’t do meaningless gestures just for optics.
