A paper mask for the first 30 seconds of being in a restaurant does literally nothing. I can sort of understand requiring masks while handling food in the kitchen, but I don’t think workers need to keep masks on at all times when they aren’t preparing food. I’m SO over Takoma Park’s performative masking. Especially people who wear masks outdoors as some kind of symbol. You know what it says to me? Pointless virtue signaling. Rich white people who don’t want to actually make any fundamental economic changes for their neighbors but will be all “look at me! Look at me “suffer” by covering my pasty white face and make a show of struggling that one time I pretend to exercise outdoors and feel superior to the unmasked proles, who just aren’t as woke as me!” [/quote]
