we can afford it, kid isn't real enthused about our state school options (UMD), she wants the big school experience, and also likes the idea of going to school in a different part of the country- feels that if you're gonna up and move across the country, college is a really good time to do it. Just know that the vast majority of her friends will be from Wisconsin. Most of the guys she dates will be from Wisconsin. [b]Most of them will stay on Wisconsin post graduation.[/b] To me, that gets pretty one dimensional and I would say that about any state school. [/quote]
Heh, actually it's the opposite and a source of major concern in the state. Brain drain and such. A lot of the best and brightest from WI go to UW-Madison, move out of state for jobs, and never come back. I swear I've met way more Wisconsin alums living in DC (and previously, the tri-state area) than I ever did growing up in Green Bay. [/quote]
