That is part of what college is all about. If you grow up in the DC area, going to UMD, Gtown/GW/AU/UVA isn't really getting that fresh perspective as going to New England, the Midwest, the South or West might provide. It isn't about making connections in a different part of the country, though there is nothing wrong with starting a career in Chicago or Minneapolis where a lot of kids from UW and the BigTen end up.[/quote]
