I know, that's why I am getting all in person shopping I need done in the next five days, since I have a chronic health condition and all. Have fun not wearing a mask after that!
You're still allowed to wear a mask even without a mask mandate. To see this in action, travel to any other county in MD except PG.
Duh. I know that. But it's not as protective for either party. Hence the shopping before all the other people's masks come off.
And, also why I don't shop in the other nearby counties. Went to a park near Frederick, and we when pick up some dinner to go, no one but us was wearing a mask. Our masks help, but it's not as effective. Just pointing out that some of us with chronic illnesses will have to curtail activities so the antimaskers won't have a bother with wearing a mask. I am ok with it, saves me money, and hopefully business owners where I usually shop or pick up dinner will be ok with it as well.
Serious question: If you are vaccinated and wearing a mask, isn't the risk negligible? You aren't in a store for very long and you aren't particularly close to others.
This is correct, esp in areas (like this area) that have very high vaccination rates. However, risk assessment is notoriously hard for humans and there is a lot of emotional attachment to masks right now. (ps if you look at the science, the benefit that the cloth masks bring seem to be relatively negligible. surgical masks are bit different)
