Your are all crazy.
+1.
+2. There were never real shortages of anything and it’s not going to be WORSE this winter.
It's not about the products just disappearing form the shelves. Its about the prices rising so high for desired products which have limited numbers that they might as well be. You don't remember when people couldn't find Lysol or Bleach or Hand Sanitizer on the shelves, online, or anywhere? There was none to be found and an entire cottage industry of bootleg cleaning products sprang up overnight at 3x the normal price in Spring 2020. Or what about the run on masks of any kind but especially the N-95s which were out of stock and unavailable all the way through fall 2020. Or the construction supply shortage where lumber was held by the yards and sold only at exorbitant prices. Making building costs during the 2020-2021 years the highest ever seen? Maybe you tried to buy a new car this year. When entire manufacturer's have had models unavailable because of the chip 'shortage'. But keep calling people crazy.
No, people like you are crazy because you panic bought and hoarded, which created the shortages so that elderly people couldn’t even find food or toilet paper. The media also contributed by stirring up the panic, which people like you eat up like hoarded food.
Its not hoarding. Its simply preparing my household for potential shortages. If you want to go out shopping every week in the winter - that's on you.
It’s been proven that bleach and Lysol are pointless so no need to hire them anymore. Op isn’t talking about building projects or cars, she’s talking about food and paper products, none of which are going to be sold out. It’s completely a media and crazy people frenzy that’s being stirred up. And yeah, I go shopping weekly year round. Who doesn’t?
