OP mentioned Bucknell. I know it gets a bad rap on DCUM as a party/fraternity-riddled/rich kid school. I know someone who is affiliated with the college, and I know a couple of recent alumni, and it does have excellent academics and some truly outstanding students and solid major programs. I think it's entirely possible to have a serious, academic four years there. But it does indeed have a frat culture and some toxic "frat bro" behaviors that are only very recently getting called out and cracked down on more. A visit there and some frank talks with current students probably would be key to considering it. [/quote]
