Their entire purpose is to promote the more equitable distribution of MCPS resources. MCCPTA has also made equity a big part of their agenda so why would Black and Brown parents need to form their own organization to promote equity if MCCPTA was already doing it? Maybe it’s because the white folks equity agenda at MCCPTA was based on what white folks wanted and not what Black and Brown kids needed? Maybe they they ignored and disregarded the input of Black and Brown parents so they could run around claiming an equity agenda that served other purposes? 🤔
