[/quote] I disagree that it is "sketchy". Clubs have to pay for a gym and coaches. Why not charge a fee to try out. By the way, if you want to avoid fees, have your kid do a tryout once teams are formed. If your kid is talented there is almost always room for one more. If it is a big club with multiple teams at all age levels, they will likely have a space as well.[/quote]
