Agree 100%.  I was listening to the Pop Culture Happy Hour episode on OMITB and they were effusive about her performance, and I was like....are we watching the same show?  Because it seems like she's half-asleep.  That being said, I LOVE this show so much.  My biggest complaint is a criminal underuse (so far) of Jackie Hoffman. Why hire such an amazing actress/comedian to play a random neighbor and not give her anything to do????  I really hope she ends up playing a bigger role in upcoming episodes. [/quote]

I actually really like her performance. Her slow, almost stoned delivery is such a funny contrast to the hyperactivity of Steve Martin and Martin Short. (I LOVE her wardrobe in this, too.)[/quote]

I get the contrast but she’s not a good actor.  It’s flat but not in a believable way. She can be “flat” but still give a snide look or something, anything.  She falls so far behind her costars. [/quote]
