Huh? It sounds like all they were asking was for an awkward room-sharing situation with incompatible sleep schedules to be handled.  Having the older kid go to bed later (quietly) and the younger kid get up earlier (quietly) seems totally nonproblematic.  Truly not seeing the issue here, unless OP thinks the entire household should revolve around her 6 year old?[/quote]
